Getting there by car
You will have to leave your car in Hora Sfakion.
Hora Sfakion is situated by the Libyan sea, 75 km from Chania,
155 km from Heraklion and 80 km from Rethymnon. To reach it you
drive on the National Road along the North coast and turn off
at the village of Vrisses. From there on it is a 40 km drive
south on a good but very winding (and scenic) road to Sfakia.
Alternatively , if you come from the South-east you can drive along a coastal
road.
Getting there by bus
There is a direct bus from Chania to Hora Sfakion
which leaves at 8.15am, 11.00am and 14.00pm. It returns from
Hora Sfakion at 7.00am, 11.00am, 17.30pm and 19.00pm.
If you are coming from Rethimnon or Heraklion you will need to get off at
Vrisses and catch the bus coming from Chania. The trip from Chania to Sfakia
takes about 1 hour 45 minutes

Getting there by taxi
A taxi from Chania airport to Hora Sfakion costs
about Euro 65. From Heraklion airport it costs about Euro 100
(2007 prices for up to 4 persons).
Boats on the South coast
There is a boat once a day from Paleochora and
Sougia to Loutro
There are numerous boats from Hora Sfakion to Loutro in the summer, less
often in spring and autumn. The trip to Loutro takes about 20 minutes and
costs Euro 1,80.

From Loutro to the Old Phoenix
Once in Loutro, the Old Phoenix is a 15 minutes walk away over
the hill. If in doubt to where the path starts ask any local for
the way to Finix. If you have too much luggage or do not want to
walk, please call us from Hora Sfakion, Loutro or whilst youare
on the ferryboat at 2825091257 to arrange for us to pick you up
by boat.
